The bilateral economic relations between the EU and China have been widening and deepening in the past decade. Last year, the EU and China reached several milestones. China first time overtook the US in becoming the EU's biggest trading partner, and on the second last day of the year, the EU and China reached agreement in principle on investment after lengthy negotiations since 2013.
