Event Details

Further to the new R&D tax policies (High and New Technology Enterprise status and R&D expense super deduction) implemented from January 2016, interpretation circulars are released to further strengthen the administration and supervision of the policies. In addition, President Li also delivered positive messages to promote innovation activities. At the same time, State Administration of Taxation released the circular with respect to Corporate Income Tax Incentive Administration Catalogue. The Catalogue further reduced the administration cost to tax payers, however, this also increased the compliance risk to taxpayer.

In addition, when taxpayers plan restructuring, introducing new investors, IPO or APA, they suddenly discovered the high risks of R&D tax incentives they previously enjoyed, or the new plans will passively affect them to enjoy the incentives in future. How to accommodate the incentives and new plans, this is a good question for Finance staff to consider.

As the leader in R&D tax incentive area, the engineers, intellectual property expert and tax specialists of KPMG China R&D Incentives Team will deliver the message during the seminar, main topics are as follows:

  • The latest development and the driver behind the new policies
  • What are the review results of Beijing Science and Technology Bureau of 2016 R&D expense super deduction claim
  • Would R&D tax incentives be the "isolated island"? What impacts from business restructuring, M&A, transfer pricing arrangement adjustment?
  • What are the relationship among royalty payment, overseas R&D payment and R&D tax incentives? Should intellectual property be retained domestically?
