In today’s automobile industry, the development of new cars needs to be faster and cheaper, while the complexity of production processes and the demand in quality from the end customer increases. In the past, design issues or part failures could be handled before customers got aware of it, but today information flow in the internet is so fast that any issue will go viral immediately and the affected enterprises are immediately in the news. For this reason, a sustainable Quality Assurance is more than ever one of the major topics in the automotive industry today.
Our Automotive Roundtable on April 10th will focus on Quality Management and will take place for the first time in Changchun at Changchun HELLA Automotive Lighting Co., Ltd., where HELLA is developing, designing, testing and producing a wide range of automotive lighting products, including headlamps, rear lamps and small lamps for a whole series of Automotive OEMs including BBA, BBAC, Audi, FAW-VW, Ford, Volvo etc.. On this rare occasion, HELLA opens its factory for external guests and Dr. Wolfgang Beuck, General Manager at HELLA Automotive Lighting in Changchun, will first introduce HELLA Automotive in China and afterwards provide the visitors with a guided tour through the production facilities.
External guest speaker Mr. Thomas Roesler, Director Manufacturing APAC at Formel D in Shanghai will share specific requirements from an OEM perspective as well as lessons learned from the supplier side to allow an open exchange of experiences and opinions about how to overcome the quality challenges especially in the Chinese market.
