The German Chamber of Commerce
is supporting the implementation of a more practice-oriented vocational training approach in Northeast China and is cordially inviting all member companies and interested parties to the Dual Vocational Education Forum 2018
in Shenyang on March 19th, 2018.
Since a "dual vocational education system
" is a key requirement for German companies to gain technically skilled staff, the municipal government of Shenyang is recently placing major efforts into strengthening the vocational education sector in order to meet the needs of local German enterprises on qualified workers and skilled specialists.
As a result of these efforts, on November 28th, 2017 a new Sino-German Institute
was established on campus of Shenyang Polytechnic College (SPC) to foster the exchange and cooperation between the technical school and German enterprises. Well-known local companies such as BMW Brilliance Automotive, Draexlmaier Automotive
and OTTO Fuchs Technology
have already decided to cooperate and further strengthen their vocational training activities with SPC (e.g. in the field of mechatronics).
The forum will be mainly organized by Shenyang Polytechnic College
and Shenyang People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries
. It aims to discuss challenges
of a dual vocational education system
and to provide a platform for exchange between local education experts and company representatives to explore best practices and get ideas to implement new vocational training concepts in the future. Existing cooperation partners of SPC such as BBA, Draexlmaier, OTTO Fuchs and Tongji University Shanghai will share their experiences on the forum. In addition, several expert workshops in the afternoon will give participants the opportunity to intensify their knowledge exchange and further discuss a deeper cooperation between local vocational schools and companies.
Shenyang Polytechnic College will open the campus for external visitors and also provide a guided tour through the training facilities.Registration for your attendance will be open until this Friday 12pm ! Language:
