The widespread integration of information and communication technology in industrial manufacturing has become one of the main challenges especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) companies. SMEs are aware of the importance of “Managing the Digital Transformation” but they often hesitate to introduce new technologies in comparison to big enterprises. The main reasons are complexity, high costs and mainly that SMEs are normally not able to estimate the whole potential of systems as well as requirements for their usage.

Despite the fact, that “Intelligent Manufacturing” and “Industry 4.0” have become the main trends for the manufacturing industry in China, the implementation in most companies is still in preliminary stages due to the lack of qualified personnel, unified standards and measurements. Therefore maturity models are a promising approach to provide guidance for companies seeking to develop a roadmap for their production processes and identify areas where action is needed.
The German Chamber of Commerce in Shenyang in cooperation with SIASUN Education Technology Group, cordially invites you to an excursion at SIASUN Robotics& Automation in Shenyang on “Intelligent Manufacturing - Opportunities & Challenges of Future Industrial Automation”, to discuss how advanced technologies will impact the manufacturing sector as well as how it will create new opportunities in Sino-German cooperation. In addition, our external speaker from Germany, Mr. Klaus Kerth, will talk about how the acatech Industrie 4.0 Maturity Index (acatech - German Academy of Science and Engineering) could support companies on the way to Industry 4.0 and Digitalization.
